The Rwandan capital glowed with elegance and purpose over the weekend of November 7–8, 2025, as the 4th Edition of the African Women Awards celebrated the continent’s 100 Most Influential Women.

Organized by The Business Executive Group in partnership with the She Achievers Network, the ceremony brought together extraordinary women whose vision, courage, and impact are reshaping Africa, from boardrooms to classrooms, and from local communities to global stages.

Standing proudly among them was Gloria Darline Quartey, Principal of Ghana’s National Banking College, who was honoured for her outstanding contribution to financial education and leadership development. Her quiet but transformative influence has helped redefine the standards of professional training in Ghana’s banking and finance sector.

Her citation, presented by The Business Executive Group CEO and dated November 7, 2025, lauded her “exemplary achievement which has significantly improved the quality of life in [her] community and the African continent.” For Ghana, it was a moment of pride, a reminder that true influence is measured not in noise, but in the lives uplifted.

The Kigali event gathered women from more than 30 African countries, each representing a story of resilience and innovation. Among the honourees were Olive Birungi Lumonya, Deputy Director-General of Uganda’s Civil Aviation Authority; Wavinya Ndeti, Governor of Machakos County, Kenya; and Ayaa Irene Lokang, a media development advocate from South Sudan.

Together, they embodied the diversity and dynamism of African leadership, distinct in their journeys, but united by a shared vision for progress.
