Prof. Eric Osei Assibey, Angela Kyerematen-Jimoh join new BoG Board
President Akufo-Addo has sworn in Senior Lecturer at the Department of Economics of the University of Ghana, Professor Eric Osei Assibey and Executive Director/Regional Head for IBM North, East and West Africa, Angela Kyerematen-Jimoh, as new members of the reconstituted Governing Board of the Bank of Ghana (BoG).
The swearing-in ceremony was held at the Jubilee House on Friday 20th August 2021.
During the ceremony, President Akufo-Addo charged members of the board to use their diverse experience and skills to support the agenda of the bank and help formulate policies necessary for the achievement of its objectives.
The thirteen-member board of the Bank of Ghana is chaired by Dr. Ernest Kwamina Yedu Addison, Governor of the Bank of Ghana.
Other members are Dr. Maxwell Opoku-Afari, First Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Mrs. Elsie Addo Awadzi, Second Deputy Governor, Charles Kofi Adu Boahen, Minister of State, Finance Ministry.
The remaining members are Dr. Kwame Owusu- Nyantekyi, Dr. Samuel Nii-Noi Ashong, Jude Kofi Bucknor, Joseph Blignam Alhassan, Andrew Adinorte Boye-Doe, Comfort Ocran and Regina Ohene-Darko Adutwum.
The Governing Board is responsible for formulating policies for the achievement of the Bank’s objectives.
