Background
Programme Objectives
This course provides concepts, theories, skills, and processes related to procurement that an organisation requires to procure goods, works and services for its operations in an efficient and effective manner.
The course intents to equip participants with the appreciation of key procurement strategic issues and processes. These activities include procurement planning, supplier selection, supplier relationship management, outsourcing decision, contract negotiations, supplier performance management, managing risk in procurement etc.
This course provides participants with a capstone knowledge and understanding of strategic procurement and supply chain management. Participants will be able to address current procurement issues faced by procurement decision-making and build the essential procurement skills necessary for dealing with various procurement related issues. It will give them the opportunity to integrate, critically reflect on and consolidate what they have learnt in their supply chain management programme.
