Understanding the Borrowing Needs of A Business(Mar. 18-19) In-person

  • 9:00am
  • National Banking College

Rationale

Just like a doctor, a borrowing cause analysis enables a lender to determine the cause, rather than the symptoms of an underlying CASH NEED of a business. It is only then can the lender be able to provide appropriate solutions in terms facility type, loan tenor, repayment source, etc. of the loan financing.

Programme Objectives

  • Distinguish between the customer’s stated loan purpose – how borrowed funds will be used – and the borrowing cause – the underlying reason that the company needs more cash than it can generate internally.
  • Estimate the actual borrowing amount of the client using business and financial data.
  • Structure the loan appropriately by matching the term of financing with the business’s operating cycle and cash flow.
  • Spot other lending opportunities arising from a myriad of business and financial trends.
